Viveka Bergstrom

Viveka Bergström is a Swedish costume-jewellery-designer living in Paris since 1990.

Following the footsteps of her father who was en air-plane-engineer obsessed by the aerodynamic form of a plane, she studied fashion and drawing in Anders Beckmans School of design. After some years as a fashion designer combined with lots of drawing and painting, she started her jewellery collections in 1993 by doing pieces for Paco Rabanne, and Agnes B. Then she opened her own company, making jewellery under her own name.

She immediately found her international customers like Barneys N.Y, Browns in London, later on Colette or Printemps in Paris, and she continues delivering her tyles to Japanese customers like Beams or United Arrows. Recently she has had a lot of fun by designing a Tinkerbell-necklace for Disneyland Resort Paris for the 15th anniversary celebration in 2007.

Since 2006 she works in her new atelier-shop close to the “Canal Saint Martin”-area in Paris. This is the cute artistic part of the town with a small village-like and quiet feeling.

Viveka Bergstrom was nominated twice (1999 and 2003) for design price of swedish ELLE.

The newest collection is based on a luxurious feeling of Dallas 1977, gold, and gold-like aluminium-chains for a feeling of nouveau-riche. Enamel in a cosmetic colour-range like beige or skin-pink. Some tiny, thin, chains that move in a feminine way down from the neck with small Swarovski-crystals. Never forgetting her eternal sense of minimalism. Rather deduce than add details.

All this in a colour-range coming from skin-tones from the cosmetics like peach and pure milk-white, whiter than white and also chocolate-brown. Neon pink, black, basic grey and white from the ska-punk, turquoise and sky-blue from fresh water, smoky transparency from glass-tables. Metal-colours are: silverplated, rose-gold-plated and oxidised.
