Matalou@home

Matalou studied fashion design at Veloudakis technical school in Athens. After finishing her studies she worked for a 2-year period as an assistant of fashion designer Lena Papachristophilou where she trained on tailored made clothes, direct sales and customer service. She started creating her first accessories collection some time during 1998 as a member of the designer's team "The Robes". Robes limited-edition collections of accessories and jewellery where displayed in the art shop of Ileana Tounta gallery and DESTE Foundation of Modern Art.

In February 2002 she launched her first leather accessories collection, in original handmade designs with special details, under the brand-name "Matalou at home". "At home" project was born at home and moved downtown, Plaka area, where it's located until today.

Since then she has participated in many exhibitions,featured in greek magazines and her collections are available in many shops and concept stores all over Greece including her own shop-workshop in Plaka.

In February 2007 she was a guest exhibitor in "le Salon De La Maroquinerie" invited from the "French Federation of leather" as a young talented designer.
